Noida development authority decided to build a world class sports city in its Thursday board meeting. A sports consultancy service has been appointed to carry the task. In a view of coming up common wealth games 2010, the Noida authority has planned the sports city for the city dwellers. The board has decided to terminate the contract with the previous architect firm. They were assigned to develop the city centers at sector 25 A and sector 32 from two years. The authority has also decided to increase the land ratio for engineering and management institutes and degree colleges in the city. The land ratio for institutes is increased from 100 percent to 150 percent.

Additionally, the residential plots in the area will be allotted through lottery system. These plots were decided to be provided through auction in July 2007. The authority has witnessed the significant increase in the revenue, financial, residential, commercial and educational receipts.
