From the day of inauguration the Noida expressway has claimed 45 lives and 60 serious accidents on the road. The increased rate of accidents has raised the eyebrows of the authorities to take some protective steps to control the accidents. The main reason found for the accidents is the trucks and tractors parked on the road side and the low dividers. Any car or vehicle can easily change the lane to the other side of the road which ultimately causes the collision.

The experts are questioning the safety features of the highway. The signals are almost non-existent on the road no one to impose traffic rules. The speeding cars and super bikes can be easily found jostling on the road for the space. The Noida police officer confirmed that six Tavera cars with two ex-servicemen and two policemen in each are positioned on the Noida expressway for the emergency services. The cars have wireless sets too. Even though the police needs to remove the parked trucks from the carriageway and control the speed of the vehicles.
