The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) declared its second phase expansion plan of the metro from Noida to Gurgaon. The Union Urban Development Ministry presented six new projects for the metro rail expansion all over the country while meeting with the consultative committee in New Delhi. The Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy has informed the attendants about the expansion plans.

He also conveyed about the policy of the government. Under which the plans for more and more public transport has been discussed. The government is also planning to expand the metro rails to other cities of the country. He also informed that the viability gap funding for the Noida to Gurgaon metro has been approved in principle along with the Hyderabad Metro.
