Farmers of Greater Noida are going on indefinite dharna

Farmers of Greater Noida villages have decided to go on indefinite dharna in demand of proper compensation for their lands. They have asked the Noida Development authority and Taj Expressway authority to pay the compensation for their lands. Families from around 20 villages have sat on dharna in front of the Authorities’ office.

The roads were blocked outside the authorities’ office and they have also placed heavy security to avoid any kind of accidents. More than 300 families are spotted near the office and they have decided to not to move from the place until their demands get fulfilled. It has been said that the villagers are asking for the compensation from years but the officials have not given any attention to the demands. The rural SP and ADM (Finance) of Greater Noida have assured the farmers that they will take the issue to the administration in Lucknow.
